What is the best nail polish? OPI, Essie, China Glaze, etc.?

all my nail polishes are old so i want to get new ones but i want to buy the best brand. Highlights for me are if they:


are true to the color in the bottle, you only need 1 coat


don't chip for a long time


dry fast


and something where you don't NEED a top or base coat.

OPI and China Glaze are the best you can get. Unless you want an extremely vibrant colour, you will only need 1 coat. Both brands have a massive selection of colours so it just depends on which is easier for you to buy. China Glaze is probably best for bright colours though. And OPI makes great pastels.





OPI probably takes longer to dry, but you can get opi drip dry, you only need one drip on each nail straight after you paint them and they will be dry and hard almost instantly, well, in a few seconds. It's great if you're in a hurry or hate waiting ages for your nails to dry.

Essie is really good if you want the best brand but its not cheap. i guess it depends on how much money you are planning to spend on nail polish. you said you didn't want to have to you a base or top coat, well honestly you should ALWAYS have a base coat on your nails. Even if they are not painted. When it comes to dark purple, bright reds, blues, yellows and even sometimes white, if you dont have a base coat underneath they WILL stain your nails especially if you are wanting them to last long. I suggest always using a base coat but for the nail polish i would go with essie. almost every celeb uses it and of course their nails always look great
China glaze, i use it everytime


it is true to it's colour


you only need 1 coat


it lasts for about 1 week if you dont use nail remover


however i recommend a base coat, it makes it alot shinier and it lasts longer, without base coat it'll last about 1 week with base coat it'll last about 1.5 weeks :D

OPI, is the best and they use it at every nail salon that I have ever went to and they keep coming out with new colors all the time. If you want a cheap top coat just look into buying one from OPI or just get a cheap Revlon one from Wal-Mart or drugstores! Hope I helped!
I love OPI it may take longer to dry but trust me it's true to it's color and it doesn't chip for a long period of time
I just bought a bottle of China Glaze and I love it. OPI is good as well. I would suggest buying them at a nail supply place. It's cheaper.
I Like OPI and China Glaze..they have the best colors and they last a pretty good amount.
Id haver to go with the china glaze and if you cant find that OPI
OPI is the best choice.
