lol ive been wondering the SAME thing! I go to votec for cosmetology and there we have to use OPI nail polish, everyone loves it because they have really cute colors, but the actual polish itself SUCKS. its really thick and chunky and stuff. it sucks. dont try it. i like the normal walmart colors like ICE, N.Y. COLORS, etc. :)
I think it's because the formula is thicker - which makes your nails smoother and kind of brightens the color a bit.

I think it just gets more hype. It is good quality polish, but there are plenty of other brands that are just as good. Personally I go for Essie whenever I can find it.
Because Opi nail polish is smoother and makes your nails look so much prettier.
Because they use it in salons, and I find it stays on much longer and the color is a lot smoother.
OPI is wonderful. it lasts longer and doesn't chip
i dont know but i prefer chanel, it last forever ;)
